The Evolving Employee Experience
Today’s workforce spans multiple generations, each bringing different experiences, priorities and expectations to the workplace.
According to Human Capital Hub, by 2026, Gen Z and Millennials are expected to make up nearly 60% of the workforce. Research suggests these generations are placing increased emphasis on the trifecta of money, meaning and wellbeing when evaluating their employment experience.
While compensation remains important, employees are increasingly looking at the broader picture. They want to understand how their employer supports their financial wellbeing, personal growth and overall quality of life.
This shift creates an opportunity for employers. Benefits plans, retirement savings programs, financial wellbeing resources and workplace flexibility are no longer viewed as separate initiatives. Together, they contribute to the overall employee experience.
The organizations that recognize these changing expectations may be better positioned to attract and retain talent. More importantly, they can create a workplace where employees feel supported not only in their work, but in the goals and responsibilities they carry outside of it as well.
